Listening Sessions and Stakeholder Summit held in October 2016
FDOT District Four and the project team reconvened local government and agency stakeholders through a series of listening sessions and a stakeholder summit in October 2016. Thank you to the many stakeholders who participated.

In the listening sessions, stakeholders:
  • Reviewed the aspirational future vision and suggested refinements to better align with current plans
  • Reviewed FDOT's progress on implementation strategies
  • Reviewed results from the 2016 performance assessment update
  • Shared progress on implementation strategies, challenges encountered, and notable achievements
  • Discussed ideas for further integrating the I-95 CMPP into stakeholder decision-making processes and other efforts

At the stakeholder summit, participants:
  • Affirmed the aspirational future vision’s general framework of facility types and place types
  • Identified planning gaps, challenges, and opportunities in the project area and potential responses
  • Highlighted connections between stakeholder implementation strategies, performance measures, and the aspirational future vision
  • Voiced a desire for new tools, techniques, guidance, and technical assistance, to implement the aspirational future vision and achieve project objectives
  • Identified the need to better coordinate and collaborate with complementary efforts to improve outcomes
  • Offered suggestions for next steps

Meeting summaries from the listening sessions and stakeholder summit are available under the Documents page. A 2016 Project Status Report, also available under the Documents page, documents the overall results from the initial monitoring and evaluation activities and outlines potential next steps.

Future Meetings
Thanks to your active participation, the 2016 listening sessions and stakeholder summit resulted in many suggestions to enhance and improve various aspects of the I-95 CMPP.  Many of these suggestions relate to the three components of the I-95 CMPP framework:
  1. vision map with facility types and place types
  2. implementation strategies
  3. performance measures

The project team is developing a process for enhancing the three components and better integrating them together for more seamless implementation into other planning and decision-making processes.  This process will include convening of the Core and Working Groups for the I-95 CMPP at key points.

We need your continued active participation!  The past success of the I-95 CMPP has been due to meaningful involvement of all stakeholders, and continuing that success depends on your involvement.  Look out for emails to schedule future meetings, the first of which are anticipated to occur in Fall 2017.

If you are interested in learning more about or joining the Working Group, please contact us.
